Have not ate from this chain in a long time. Ive not had super great experience but this time I loved everything. Last time I was at the chain it was in chicago suburbs. Overcrowded....burgers were not memorable and fries were always screwed up undercooked... This spot. No lines. Plenty seating space. AIR conditioning, ease of ordering. Ive not been here in years so I forgot the size and the lady was nice and explained to me difference in sizes. I got little guy burger 1/4 lb patty with fresh onions. And little guy fries. Regular drink. Everything was 9.09 atfer tax. I dont know why people complain about this chain being overpriced. Its alot food! Theyre way generous with the fries this time. Whoo! Fries was perfectly cooked. A first time I actually can see why people like the fries here! Literally dumped fries into the bag and it was enormous pile for a little fry order. Hamburger was perfect. Not greasy at all but juicy. Bottom of bun was not soggy at all. Actually a decent burger place for me now. Sesame buns are a great compliment to the burger here. Peanuts! I forgot about free peanuts. Ate some while I waited for my order. Nice calorie punch to my diet hah. Had freestyle machine for pop. Im still unsure about those machines nowadays. Will give this chain more chances now. Thanks!

CAUTION: This place gives you the worst case of the runs you will ever have. All right guys, I'm going to tell it to you straight. The first and only time I ever went to five guys I almost shit myself on the ride home. Please, especially if you have a sensitive stomach, do not submit yourself to this disgusting pile of grease they call a "burger." There are literally so many other places to choose from in town that WON'T cause explosive diarrhea. I put some examples below. Again please do not eat at five guys unless you want to have a night with your toilet, I give it five thumbs down. The North Shore Inn The Buck The New Troy Legion (only on Wednesday night) The Chatterbox

Five stars for Five Guys. Why you ask? Of course the burgers are good, but I am rating this 5 stars for the service. The service at the front desk (ordering) and the attention to keeping the place cleaned up were impressive. You can have all the great food in the world but if the service stinks, no one will come back. This was our second time here and we look forward to coming back if we're in need of food while traveling down I-94.

Of all the burger places I have to say Five Guys is my favorite . They just opened a store 1/2 mile from my house . I love custom ordering a cheese burger with mushrooms and mayo or a plain burger with A1 sauce . All the condiments are free just ask for it . Fresh fries and I mean fresh cut fries 100 bags of them line the store . They even post what state and farm they buy them . Hand dipped milkshakes . I cold coke . All of this as fresh as fresh could be. That's me back to a simpler time . And also they dogs and veggie sandwiches and Cajun fries. Now their are only three places for a burger in Saint Joseph Michigan . Five Guys , The Buck in down town or the Neon Grill .

The burgers are just great...absolutely great. They serve milkshakes at this location and they are worth the gazillion calories and thigh dimples.

Nice spot for a quick meal, especially if you're not concerned about being a little messy! This is a brand new Five Guys Burgers in the St. Joseph area and it's definitely a nice addition to the variety of establishments already here. Atmosphere: There's a certain atmosphere you expect from this sort of place: loud, messy, a little congested. We certainly experienced all of those aside from the messiness. In fact, I thought the restaurant was very clean in appearance (this could be due to the fact that this place just opened up less than a month ago). We came for an early dinner and even then the noise was pretty loud with people talking as well as the music playing. The noise level wasn't annoying, just loud as we were expecting. That being said, there were a lot of people eating at the time we came! A little difficult to navigate around all the people/chairs/tables, but definitely manageable and not something that would deter me from coming again. Food: I purchased the Bacon Cheeseburger with everything on it plus A.1 BBQ sauce. Is it just me or does every burger that comes wrapped in aluminum foil just scream delicious? This burger was awesome! The ingredients were fresh, the bacon was on point, the burger was delicious--all this in a simple onion bun. It wasn't a small burger either, just big enough to be filling so it turned out to be perfect with a side of fries. Make sure to order your fries Cajun style! It just gives it a nice kick of spice and seasoning! It can get a little salty though so just be aware of that. Balance it out with the free peanuts! Service: I found the service to be very helpful. When I first made my order, I accidentally left out the fact that I wanted my fries Cajun style I spoke with the cashier maybe 5 minutes after ordering and she quickly made the change (no charge!) to Cajun fries! I appreciated her willingness to help even though they were fairly busy. Price: My only gripe about this place might be the cost of the food. For a Bacon Cheeseburger, drink, and small fries, it came out to be about $13.50. A little pricer than what I'd like to pay for a simple burger meal. At the same time, the toppings are all free with the burger as well as the mountains of peanuts so it works out at the end. Overall: Great spot for a casual lunch/dinner with friends. The atmosphere is fairly lively and the service deserves applause (based on my experience). I'll definitely be coming back!

Great burgers but don't order a Large French fries because if you do, then you'll have to eat a whole brown bag of fries! As for French fries, they're very delicious!

I mainly try to avoid writing negative reviews, for I believe they are unnecessary, but since this place is so new, I thought I would give my honest thoughts. 5 Guys has been open for about 2 weeks now and I have heard nothing but good things, so I thought I'd finally try it. I walk in and it is pretty slow compared to how I've seen it before. I was surprised to see how cheap the menu actually was, aside from the Milkshakes that are $4.49. Being a vegetarian, I ordered the Veggie Sandwich, and my friend orders a regular hamburger with her choice of toppings. Seeing as how they are one of the most expensive menu items, I thought the Shakes would be great, so I got a Salted Caramel, and moments later I am handed a 12oz (much tinier than I anticipated) milkshake that tasted like plain vanilla, something I could easily get for much cheaper and equal in quality at a fast-food restaurant like Burger King. Ironically, that is the same thing my friend said about her burger, "Okay, just tastes like fast-food burger". My Veggie Sandwich was the most disappointing part, a stack of mushrooms, lettuce, and tomato, being one of the most bland things I've ever tasted with zero flavor. I hate to speak ill of local restaurants, but I am just expressing my disappointment, and giving caution to those who are curious. Also!! It's freezing inside, no heat, and the doors constantly swing open.

Celiac friendly! It's so nice to be asked if it's a health concern before launching into it. I watched the busy kitchen communicate that it was an allergy concern 3 separate times

If you have been to another Five Guys, this place will not be any different EXCEPT the group working behind the counter are having fun!! The burgers are predictably great. The fries are very good, and plentiful. Don't eat too many of the free peanuts before they call your number; or, you will have a hard time finishing the meal. I am a big guy; but, the single burger is more than enough. Definitely recommend to a fan of good beef burgers.

Although the food was delicious, I ended up getting food poisoning. Needless to say, I won't be eating here for a long time.

Not good!!! Cheeseburger just OK, husband's veggie sandwich bad, and Cajun fries terrible....had to just toss them. Always have to try new spots, but should have skipped this one!!!

We thought the food was good. It is a bit loud but I suppose it is the atmosphere they want. The burger was almost too much, but tastey. I'm not sure I like the fact that I have to tell them how to make it. I'm more the "hold the whatever" kind of guy. I will say that Mr Goody's is right down the road. Food is just as good, much bigger menu, save a third of your money. For the I94 travelors, though, it is probably a welcome addition.

Five guys has the best hamburgers and cheeseburgers and fries. I think it's better than neon grill but that's just my opinion. They even have milkshakes!!! But you have to wait in line until they call your number out which they really don't call out in order. And if you're far away you can definitely hear the number they call out. I mean for me I was afraid that you wouldn't be able to hear the number so I stood near the counter so I could hear my number but I was wrong cuz some people were farther away from the counter and when the employee called out a number the person came right to the counter sometimes you have to re ask about what number they called though but other than that there food is definitely delicious!!!
